Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store employing just four individuals. Overall sales for that particular year totaled sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. Through 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty employees and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is among the leading international manufacturers within the material handling business.
Design and production of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively engage in new business possibilities. All through the last sixty years, the trade of material handling has grown into a really sophisticated field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its improvement. In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, fabricating and promoting hydraulic attachments. A second production plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the global world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.
In the year 1964, the business altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities throughout the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are manufactured worldwide thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is designed to be the ultimate customer support centre.
Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the impressive acquisition of five firms, together with the global leader in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
